Pacifying my earlier disgruntled attitude towards the card application, Miss Sara insisted on having the UOB Platinum card ready, without a hassle!
True to her word, I received the card upon my return from Korea then!
If only the rest of the staff emulates her efficiency!!.....
Syabas! Miss Sara, for your COMPETENCE!!
Whatever I'm writing is not intended to be offensive, so if you should take it personally then too bad, this blog is not for YOU....SORRY!

Personal intuition....
Su Nee called yesterday. Sad to hear that Cajun, a shih tzu, has been diagnosed suffering from pancreatic cancer. She has spent a lot on medical fees and went through inconveniences caring for this poor canine.
As a pet shop operator back then, my opinion had always been sought as to which veterinary surgeon is good. My reply had always been the same....a matter of personal preference. This brought me back to my personal experiences with Cuddles and Chunky whereupon the cases were severe enough to share!!
Cuddles was 5 years (2009) then. She was drooling she never did before for about 2 weeks until I, upon close inspection while grooming her, found her lips drooped lopsidedly. That accounted for the drooling and food spilling out from her mouth messing every meal which brought about strict reprimand from me, poor thing!!
Since the discovery, I made it a point to scoop out the food from the loose lips with my index finger after each meal. I realised that she may be suffering from facial nerve paresis, a disorder common in cocker spaniels.
Dr Yeoh prescribed a 5 day suspension medication for a mere Rm10. Cuddles was about 80% recovered with the first course. Another course of Rm 10, Cuddles was her usual self till today!!
Then, months prior to the wrapping up of my business, Leslie brought Chunky,a french bulldog to be nursed by me. She had refused even her favourite snacks! She had vaginal discharge and tummy looked tight with flatulence or so I thought! With Dr Yeoh's medication, she improved within the week and I groomed her all set for home.
However, it turned out she was not ready for home when she rejected her meal prior to going home. The following week, it worsened and I noticed her tummy swelling. Medication did not help so I suggested a radio logic test since Dr Yeoh suspected it to be pyometra. As Dr Yeoh's clinic is not equipped with the x-ray machine, I took her to another clinic and results clearly showed uterine infection with the diameter of the fallopian tube that of a human arm when it should only be that of a thumb and her uterus filled with pus!
To perform a surgery on her would be suicidal with a survival rate of only 5% according to this vet. A course of antibiotic was prescribed to open up the already closed cervix (by then no more vaginal discharge) to enable the discharge of pus and a prescription diet food recommended for forced feeding. Chunky took to neither the medication nor food and threw out each time both were administered.
Her mobility was restricted by her overly distended abdomen. She was depressed, lethargic and very weak. Except for her swollen tummy, she was awfully bony because of her denial of food. She would always look at me forlornly with sunken eyes pleading to live on! I would hold her and cry and repeatedly ask if she wanted her sufferings ended by putting her to sleep meaning euthanizing her..........
The next day, I went to the clinic again and learnt that Chunky would be on a trial of different course of antibiotics. What if none worked, I asked. Then, she would succumb to death was the reply.....
Crying, I marched out of the clinic. Why then did the vet still insist on administering antibiotics when it was pretty clear that the uterus may rupture anytime due to the pus and pressure built up? Subject Chunky to experiments? I can only conclude because of the $$$$! Prolonging meant more $$$$????
Surgery, 5% survival, DRAGGING on definitely spelt DEATH! My personal intuition decided Chunky's fate! At my insistence, Dr Yeoh operated on her at the cost of Rm300! Surgery was over in half an hour with Leslie and me waiting outside the clinic.
Today Chunky is running around Leslie's house in high spirit and with her NORMAL GREED for food!!!
With me, I am pretty comfortable with Dr Yeoh. For the low fees he charges, he has to compromise with a higher turnover thereby forgoes time wasted on unnecessary fuss over pets which most pet owners complained about!
Whether it be Dr Yeoh or another, we as pet owners should be in a position to furnish the vets without being asked, symptoms whatsoever for the intended visits! In fact, I abhorred being asked inane questions such as "Your dog eating well?" "Nice poo poo?" "No fever?"... when my pets were taken for their annual shots! Hey man, would I have brought them for the shots if there was the slightest indication of illness???
"Unlike Dr Yeoh, Dr xxxx is so good. He even cut my dog's nails and removed its ear hair. Of course he charged lah." said one customer. Well, I thought, God blessed her if she is stupid enough to pay a higher fee for a groomer's task!!......

Downright IRRESPONSIBLE!!
My 3 smses on 16/11/11 to the REGISTERED PROPERTY agent in KL which are self explanatory ......
13:35
"Jxxxxx, I am very annoyed that you've allowed people to move into my house without my consent. You have abused the power as a negotiator who has been entrusted with the keys solely for viewing purposes. As such, please ensure these people move out within a week from today, failing which a police report will be lodged against you."
15:15
"Jxxxxx, please also ensure that these people move out voluntarily in a peaceful manner without causing any damage to my property whatsoever, failing which you will be held fully liable to restore and make good the damage to its original condition within 2 weeks."
17:07
"Please only communicate with me when your trespassers move out from my premise within the week. I do not wish to be further agitated and produce medical certification of high blood pressure as a result of this issue and bill you the medical fees. Please allow me the peace of mind. Thanks."
It was not until the first sms was sent that the agent made NUMEROUS persistent CALLS pleading leniency. Prior to this, right from the very beginning, she had stinged on calls. I have always been the one calling and reminding her that she does not work for FREE!!

Relent, I will not, as this drastic measure was only resorted to in response to her earlier lackadaisical attitude towards my calls with always "Mdm Wong, I'll get back to you" which never arises!!
She was probably mad because I had screamed at her then for allowing these people to move in sometime last week of October even before rental/utility deposit was banked into my account and agreement executed!! Ain't this HORRIFYING? Conspiracy between them? Or is it COMMON PRACTICE in KL for tenants to move in first??? WHAT A JOKE????!
The first sms was sent when she did not get back to me after my last call to her at 10:11am advising her that money was still not banked in as promised.
By the way, this house was bought through her back then.
Extracts of her smses....
15:17
"Mdm Wong, I sincerely apologize to u. I am very sorry & hope u can give me a chance."
17:19
"Mdm Wong, I will go to the house to meet the tenant. In fact my company could issue the cheque of rmxxxx & bank into ur account if u r willing to accept it. I really d't mean to annoy u. Please take good care of your health. Tq."
17:36 sms to Al-Wyn forwarded to me
"Alvin, I talked to Mdm Wong but she wants the tenant to move out. I told her that I could bank in the money to her if she is willing to. Please try to talk to her & I really hope that we could have a good solution. Tq"
