Nuclear family's bond severed!....

"Hi Mdm Xxxx wassaup?.... Clippers? ..... No worries, I'll courier to you..... So how have you been?"

She feels lonely... Lonely? When she's surrounded by her children and husband, running their family owned factory under the same roof???

Apparently, all her children have moved out from home since last year end.... Why?

This Xxxx family, were my most valued customers. Not only because of the fact that they had always spent lots of $$$$$ each time they patronized my shop without a bat of their eyelids!.. but also because of their humble, bubbly, friendly, easy going disposition! 

Super rich though they may be, never once did the senior or junior Xxxxs throw their weight around! Ever so courteous when requesting for assistance whatsoever!

Their display of concern and affection for one another too, never failed to awe me....

Prior to my handover of business, I was introduced to the eldest child's girlfriend. A tall slender, very fair and clear porcelain complexioned attractive lady who is a medical doctor by profession!

The woman is as pretty as the son is good looking! A handsome couple and a perfect match! Nobody could ask for more!

However, it is a shame that the family has parted ways with the emergence of this woman within less than a year of her relationship with the son!

Citing incompatibility with the sister-in-law to be, the 2 daughters moved away from home, one to Singapore and the other to Kuala Lumpur, giving up on their family business while the son cohabitates with the woman! The youngest son is currently pursuing his degree in United States.....

Many a time, the bond, no matter how strong it is within the nuclear family, is broken when the children of marriageable ages introduce their other halves.....that someone capable of extending or breaking the family!!!.........

A selfish Mom, I am.....

Settle for someone who loves you more than you love him or her apart from the criteria set forth hereunder, otherwise stay single....that's precisely my advice to my children.

Ca-Ryn's Mr Right would presumably one who comes from a well-to-do family, presiding a promising career, at least 5 years her senior, tall, handsome and suave failing which he is of no match for my intelligent beauty coupled with a pleasant disposition!

Ideally for Al-Wyn, would be, from a decent home, a tall attractive woman, adequately educated, several years his junior, who would not mind eventually being a homemaker if need arises, or if she so desires, run her own business without neglecting family priorities. Falling short of aforesaid, the woman is of no match for him, a man of large calibre!

For as long as they REMAIN my children, my ENDEAVOUR to ensure their sedentary cushioned lives, will never come to a HALT!!!

Which parent doesn't hope the BEST for their LOVED ONES???

Third party? Family?

"My son is in a relationship with a woman 8 years his senior!" sobbed ??? If you have read my earlier post, you would have noticed how particular I am, over TIME! No way am I going to accept such relationship EITHER!

The hardest moment all parents will face is the introduction of their children's life partners. YES, I'll give in to my children's tantrums and sometimes, unreasonable demands, provided there is no third party's involvement!

Anybody accepted by me will be FAMILY, otherwise, a THIRD PARTY! If my children should stand against me and choose to carry on an unapproved relationship that they feel superseded the FLESH and BLOOD BOND and YEARS of UPBRINGING and CHERISHED LOVE, then I'm PREPARED for the worst...... to sever the mother and children ties, heart wrenching though it may be.....

Nothing hurts more than the reality that we, the moms are beyond compare to a woman of a few months relationship?! It feels like MULTIBLE STABS in the HEART! So, WHY cling on if there is no room in their heart for you ,old woman, but their new found LOVE??? ....... To erase memories of yesteryears will be the only solution best thought of ........

This time last year, I received the best birthday gift ever! Al-Wyn called to say he has passed his CIMA while I was having dinner with Ca-Ryn and Leslie! What better gift would a mum asked for but the achievement of her children! It was also when I first blogged!

Today, I celebrated my birthday toiling at the pet shop as usual with only text messages wishing me a happy birthday from my loved ones, all being away from HOME!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MYSELF??!
