Spirits, are they for real?

Copied and pasted from my Facebook page, conversations amongst my friends and I....

Anndze Tan: My hair is standing on ends !!!!! Eeeeeeeeek
Bell Belle: Ohh..y? Saw anything?
Leena Wong: Nampak hantu kah?
Anndze Tan: Bell Belle Leena Wong Yup, standing besides me last night. "He" followed Adrian home. #$%@
Leena Wong: Yerrr....hair raising!!!!!
Leena Wong: What else happened besides him standing by your side?
Anndze Tan: Funny thing is I purposely carried Jingles facing him. JIngles just stare but did nto bark or grrrr
Leena Wong: Vanished in a splitting moment??
Anndze Tan: No he was there for a short while standing besides the fan near to where I was sitting. Then he walked to the centre of my house and looked around after that ...vanished !
Anndze Tan: Nothing happen la. Just lost souls. Let him visit lo.
Bell Belle: Anndze, urself saw it??? Or Aldrien Moh told u he stands beside u Anndze Tan: Adrian lah
Leena Wong: Yerrrrr!!!! You can't be serious???? Now, I'm terrified!!!!!
Anndze Tan: hahaha ..I scolded Adrian. Knowing 'he' is following why still come home. Go elsewhere jalan jalan first ma
Bell Belle: Remind Aldrien Moh, even if he saw anyone standing beside me or facing me nose to nose, DUN EVER tell me, else, I duno how I will react! But I m sure I will cry n scream
Anndze Tan: After that Adrian ask me to go join him at the sofa but I dont want. Later when 'he' went off I asked Adrian why. Adrian said 'he' was standing quite close to me looking at me as if he knows me.
Anndze Tan: I think i know why he was looking at me. He was confused. I was putting on mask and the white piece of paper was on my whole face.
Leena Wong: Hahaha! What a joke!!!!
Bell Belle: Lesson learn: Do not put on facial mask during this entire month to avoid confusing ppl.
Bell Belle: Btw, how long he accompanied u last night?
Leena Wong: Let me share my recent experience during a terrace house stay at Lijiang, China.
We were warned of power disruption from 1.30am to 6.00am and were handed torchlights for emergency use.
That night I heard heavy panting and had assumed it came from my sis-in-law, an asthma sufferer.
Straining my ears, I realized it was not. I then opened my eyes and stared as though challenging the spirit....my intention of sending my message across that I was awake and fear not!!
My watch showed 1.25 am. The minute I closed my eyes, the panting went so much heavier and louder just above my head and almost instantly the lights went off!!
The spirit had me kowtowing to it!!! As Bell Belle cautioned, I CRIED and SCREAMED!!!! "KIM KOR, WO HAU PA!!" which translates to mean "Sis-in-law, I'm very scared!!" Weird that I had spoken in Mandarin when communication between us has always been in English or Hokkian!!!
You bet, though I had hopped onto my in-law's bed, I couldn't sleep a wink after that!!  I weeped through the morning??? while Kim went into deep slumber again after pacifying me.
We found later that day, other travel mates encountered similar experiences!!!

Anndze Tan: I think in the house for about half an hour.
Bell Belle: Yoh Leena Wong, if I were u, i will shoot to lobby instead of staying inside d room!
Bell Belle: Anndze Tan, if half an hour for me, heart attack d..
Bell Belle: u very brave, somemore not cry..
Anndze Tan: Wah Leena..that's scary.
Leena Wong: Anndze, you tell me?! Indeed, it was!!!
Anndze Tan: That day at Club Med also the same. I was sleeping near the window and I was sharing the bed with my colleague. Slightly after midnight there was scratching at the window non stop and very loud. I turned to look at my colleague and she was sleeping. I got out of bed and went to peep out of the window. Nothing and no sound. After that I just dont bother and went back to bed. The scratching started again. I just couldnt be bothered
Leena Wong: Bell Belle. Sorry lah, no lobby.....it is a terrace house with a young male housekeeper in attendance.  Moreover, with no electricity, the entire place was in complete darkness saved for the small beam illuminated from the torch light I held through the night!!!
Anndze Tan: They are everywhere
Leena Wong: But then, Anndze, our experiences by comparison, scary though they may be, were not as frightful as what Aldrien had witnessed!!  Hearing noises as compared to SEEING SPIRITS!! I would have fainted!!!
Anndze Tan: Leena Wong Norm for him. His eyes can see one. He has lots of stories to tell.
Leena Wong: Yerrrrrrr.....goose pimples all over me now....  Me too, encountered many such related situations when a teenager and since I started travelling again..... May start sharing, in this month of the hungry ghosts in my blog....
Leena Wong: SHIT! Was startled by the loud sound warning of low battery in the silence of my room as I typed the above!!
Anndze Tan: Lol

Spirits! Ghosts! Are they for REAL?

I was born a Buddhist, accepted Christ, not baptized, during my secondary student days and couple of years thereafter till now ....???....

As a mark of respect, I do pray to my husband's deceased parents and ancestors once daily though.

I gather that only the weak willed and the troubled seek solace in a religion. By this statement, I am aware I have offended many readers of this blog. Here, I offer my sincere apologies!

Since all religions practice divine teachings, they cannot be no good, right? And, if by embracing a religion, you are able to achieve a sound mental health, go for it!

I do believe in the existence of a supernatural power though, and for easier comprehension, will term it simply as God! For as long as I practice good faith and do no evil, I believe MY God will watch over me.

The Star Thurs 02/02/12

Of late, through newspapers, television and Internet, spirits, ghosts and god related news kept flashing before my eyes as though some supernatural power is attempting to reach for me!

Sometime last week, out of the blue, an ex-client requested me via an SMS to check out a blog whereupon a teenager supposedly shared an almighty pastor's ability which he witnessed with his own eyes and the mention of Jesus Christ!

Try as I would, I was not able to piece together what he was to impart!!!!! I found myself cursing! What the hell is he BABBLING ABOUT!!!

GRACIOUS! Surely GOD could not have sent this boy with such atrocious broken English to speak to me!? If indeed HE did, I daresay it is a FAILED MISSION!

It is not in my nature to ridicule. In fact, I feel sorry for the poor kid. I guess it must be the fact that my client had requested that I forward the SMS to friends and all, that irked me, resulting in the uncalled for sarcasm!

Would you believe if I disclose that this post had been re-typed the fourth time before it was successfully posted? Somehow, on three occassions prior to posting, the post disappeared and I was not able to retrieve them!

Creepy?

Spirits! Ghosts! Are they for REAL?

Shot from my bathroom upstairs....the banana tree on the extreme left corner!

Leslie's homegrown bananas are exceptionally big, seedless and sweet. Now, I'm contemplating whether to discard the young shoot his maid gave me two months ago.

Excerpted from blogs I stumbled upon soon after my previous post.......

Feng Shui News - Feng Shui Solutions - Trees and Plants : One type of plant which tends to attract ghosts (don't ask me why!) is the banana tree. They often seem to be on properties of clients who complaint of ghosts!

Darker Side Feng Shui: Not all ghosts are former human beings either. Your BELOVED CAT that you buried in your backyard may have returned.

And, in my case, my beloved dog! Ha ha......

Spirits? Are they for REAL????

The Star, Sunday 29/01/12

This article reminds me of my recent experiences, with the first incident happening while I was holidaying in Korea, in October, 2011.

After having packed my luggage past midnight, I switched off the dresser's light and headed to the bathroom for a bath. Upon opening the bathroom door after my shower, the entire room was brightly lit and my roommate was still deep in slumber as she was when I left her!

I felt goosebumps all over me and hastened towards her! "Chin Lan, Chin Lan, did you have the lights on?" "No..." she murmured. "No? Hey then, I'm gonna share your bed tonight....and we shall sleep with the lights on huh...." I said calmly trying hard not to display my fear.

In the middle of the night........ the lights WENT OFF leaving the room in complete DARKNESS!!! I shuddered, closed my eyes instantly and didn't dare budge an inch and prayed for early dawn while my heart thudded loudly!!!

The next morning, Chin Lan reminded me that throughout our stay, at every hotel room, we checked into, the tasks of switching on and off of lights, television etc were left to me as she didn't even know how to. Thus, obviously it wasn't she who had on or off the lights that night!!! Could it be as what the above author mentioned about power surges or even timer settings???

The next incident happened in Genting Highlands, November, 2011. I chided Aderlyn about her smelly feet, which in fact was not, as she removed her shoes by my bedside. While she roared at me about the uncalled for reproach, I inhaled a very nice scent. So incensed she was, I dared not comment further!

It was not until she called weeks later warning me against passing whatever comments inside hotel rooms when in Hong Kong that I realized that she too inhaled a very nice scent that night following her rebuke!! How do you explain, first, the kinda salted fish stench followed by almost instantly the very nice fragrance???

Then this experience .... December, 2011. For almost a fortnight, prior to his passing, I would administer the last of the 8 hourly round the clock, oral medication, to Canon about one-ish am. I left my bedside lamp on so that I would remember to have the medication administered.

The night on his passing, I woke up to the triggering of alarm, as in the case of power failure, from the panel. In darkness, I groped for the switch and on the bedside lamp which flooded the room..... It wasn't a power failure!

With eyes still puffy, having sobbed the entire day over Canon's passing, I squinted at the clock....1.20am. My hair stood on ends. I was very very very petrified! Canon seeking attention?? .....OMG....noOooooo.........

I reassured myself. Why be afraid? Surely loving him like I did, he wouldn't harm me? Besides, wasn't he suppose to watch over me? However, try as I would to remain compose, it was still somewhat eerie when the alarm triggered about the same time for the next few consecutive days!!! Should I opt to believe that it was merely a case of coincidence????

Whatever, I braved myself sleeping alone through the weeks with lights on! The last time it triggered off was during my sharing with my mum and sister after our trip back from Hong Kong, 3 weeks later!!!

I am not superstitious and am all ears to reasoning if ever there is one..........
