Chad a rare surname, pronounced CHUCK flew up yesterday, from KL having just gotten back from his base in Thailand for a day's visit!.... to have breakfast with Ca-ryn, lunch with us, joining in the running of Ca-ryn's last minute's errands before she left for Beijing this morning, and dinner with us before he flew back to KL!!

Such attention showered upon my darling daughter is of course, welcoming, but, I would have reprimanded with a "Seow ar! $$$ easy earned ar?" if it had been my son doing so!

Chad explained that working off shore, incidentally he is an engineer attached to an outsourcing oil company his time off is irregular. As such, he would not miss the slightest opportunity to meet up with valued friends at whatever cost.

Inquisitive as I am, my interrogation began soon after the exchange of greetings! Kia si lang, ya? Who cares, especially when this is the first time Ca-Ryn ever brought a guy friend to meet up with mummy!

"Oh...so you graduated from University Tenaga, second in a family of 4 siblings, 2 sisters from National University of Singapore with one pursuing a PHD and youngest brother from US ....not bad ya? house of intellectuals! What about Dad? Mom? .... Staying on your own? Why??...?.....??....????........"

Appearance: Tall and handsome, wee bit heavy though, but, never mind, makes Ca-Ryn appear slight beside him - pass

Character: Suave, eloquent, cheery obvious from the above photo - pass

Academic qualification: Uni grad - pass

Career: Engineer - pass

Congratulations, Chad, you have passed the entry requirements with flying colours! My shrewd assessment of people never fails me! See if it works well between you!

I do not know about Ca-Ryn, but I am mesmerized by his charisma.....and I hope it's not the charm or something from Thailand???....Chad????

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

A month ago, Dr Ng Siew Hian, my sis-in-law, asked, "Why did you keep washing your hands?" "Did I? The dust or perhaps the heat, I suppose." I realized then, within the 10?20? minutes touring her almost completed home which went through 7 months of renovation, I've already washed my hands 5 times!!

The recent article on OCD The Star, Sun 19/06/11, struck me if I'm suffering from this!

Being so meticulous about cleanliness and symmetry, I feel stress out, harping my maids about hygiene which they all LACKED!... and straightening objects such as display ornaments, scattered cushions, bedsheets, pillows, tables, chairs ...., that they simply thrust after their cleaning chores!!
Am still pondering over my answers to above questions and whether treatment should be sought!!!!
