Pathetic?

The Star Thurs 24/06/12

From what was featured, honestly, it does not appear that bad.

I've seen and heard of cases worse off whereupon each pair of bitches were housed together in a multi-tiered 18" by 24" cage till they were ready to be mated and bred!

To confine a dog to such a small cage 24/7 is terrible enough, let alone two!! In aggravated cases, dogs were not even groomed and were heavily infested with ticks!

It is the human greed of hunting for bargain buys at rock bottomed prices that led to the mushrooming of puppy mills producing genetically weak dogs under deplorable conditions!

At the expense of the poor dogs, unscrupulous breeders capitalized on the business with minimal costs thereby sacrificing the health and condition of the innocent canines.

Puppy milling will stop... ONLY, when shrewd buying starts!

I am aggrieved and distressed by what was shared through these blogs....

Email me your Facebook account if you have one......

Haha! I'm in a frenzy over Facebook at the moment! Didn't realize it is pretty fun nosing into friends' albums and all!

Made some new friends! Even had my cheeky nephew Tat Chen calling me childish!!

Come to think of it, as if I've had nothing better to do than hastening to reply to all comments like a school going lass!

Wednesday night was madness handling and passing comments having added several friends simultaneously! Comments kept pouring in like torrential rain!! Too much for me to handle!

What wasn't meant for Wall Photos went into the album!

Still fumbling with tagging and all! In fact, had screwed up Nor's photo with my silly action! Nor! A thousand apologies!

A sheer waste of club's fund....

Alongwith an apologetic email, came this flower basket!

Who wouldn't be melted from lips to toes by flowers and chocolates?

I would have if not for the insolence of the florist who had requested that I picked up the flower basket on my way home!

"So what if I wasn't home when you delivered earlier? You either keep it or send it back to the club!" with wryness, I hung up on him!

It wasn't the GM's fault that his staff chose to carry out maintenance work at the most inappropriate moment.

Neither was it his fault to have rung me and be told off that his call dissipated what would have been my eventful outing with my then classmate!!

Nor was it his fault that he had engaged the silly florist who got into my hair!!

But then, somehow....every action he resorted to....simply sticks in my throat!!

By the way, I just learnt that this poor guy has presided the position barely 3 weeks???! Surely he deserves leniency?

My email to the General Manager....

The ineptness of the Maintenance Team
Sunday, June 3, 2012 between 2.25 pm to 3.05 pm

At the Clubhouse, I was shampooing my hair and was about to rinse off the lather for application of the hair conditioner when I found the tap went dry!

Gracious, I thought to myself, surely it could not be the act of the local water authority cutting off supply?

I then went from cubicle to cubicle to try out the water flow...., confirmed, not a trace of WATER!

With hands full of LATHER, I fumbled for my mobile phone trying to reach the reception to check on the status!

Just then, a lady member marched in. Apparently, the Maintenance Team had chosen to carry out the maintenance work at that particular MOMENT!!!

I sought her assistance in informing the Maintenance people to reconnect the supply, for me to at least finish off rinsing, on her way out.

Hovering within the shower cubicle for about 5 minutes without the slightest idea of the outcome, I decided to go for the steam bath!

I was there for 25 minutes before a housekeeper came asking if I minded resuming my bath at the Tower Block! I was tempted to retort if she was going to rinse me clean with her saliva if I minded!!

Was there an alternative when it may take the Maintenance workers another hour or two to complete the task?

I was subject to embarrassment trotting from the Clubhouse to the Tower Block, barefooted, with heavily lathered hair, clad in just a towel, clutching my sandals and tote bag to the amusement of the towel dispensing guys in attendance!!

Had your staff not been educated or briefed about courtesy and discretion? Should they not have checked to see if the shower area was in use before progressing with their work? Why was maintenance performed on a  week-end? If, in a case of emergency, could they not have put up a NOTICE at the door?

A recurrence of this will reflect on your inefficiency in dealing with your subordinates!

The very thought had my knees weakening!

28 yr old IT analyst, abducted from the basement car park
of the upmarket Bangsar Shopping Complex! She was then
raped, stabbed, strangled and her body dumbed and burnt
in a manhole!

Since Canny Ong's case in year 2003, I became paranoid each time Ca-Ryn insists on visiting "places" on her own, much to her annoyance!!

I would forbid her outings unless she's escorted!

You may feel I am over reacting! I don't care a  damn! It's a risk I wouldn't dare challenge!!

When Lena Lai shared Chin Xin Ci's note on FB before the case was published, I found myself crying as I read.

Her experience was so well expressed, her fears and thoughts of her loved ones in the midst of the life threatening situation.....

I felt for her as a mother would, the fear, trauma and ordeal she was subjected to! Such a beauty deserves the best in life! Thank God she broke FREE!!

Read her account of the encounter through https://www.facebook.com/notes/chin-xin-ci/30-hours-ago-i-escaped-from-being-kidnapped/10150980821959859

My Garden Birdwatch!

Hey! I've contributed as a citizen scientist as  the birdwatchers termed it, participating in the nationwide garden survey!

Together with Tham, we spent 30 minutes in the vicinity of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Hamid Khan counting and snapping photos of the birds.

Short of a good camera, most of the pictures zoomed were horribly blur! I could only focus from a distance, as approaching any nearer would put the birds to flight!!!

Eurasian Tree Sparrow

Rock Pigeon

House Crow

Common Myna

Javan Myna
In all, there were, for submission 6 Eurasian Tree Sparrows, 7 Rock Pigeons, 13 House Crows, 5 Common Mynas, Javan Mynas and 1 Black napped Oriole. The Oriole flew off before I had my phone camera ready!

I feel intoxicated!!!

Yeah! I'm still feeling tipsy having had 4 glasses of Black Label whisky and four glasses of Baileys! I couldn't sleep! I feel nauseous even as I'm blogging now!!

How I made my way home, I don't know! I'm thankful there ain't roadblocks for breathalyzer test!!

I've made new lady friends, Michelle, Jesselyn, Annie and gang who were just as intoxicated as I was!! We were swaying and prancing to the tempo of the music feeling greatly exhilarated!!

I was led to the dance floor couple of times by God knows WHO!! But then again, who cares so long as there is no body contact and I'm having fun!

Whatever, I need to force sleep upon myself as I had promised Siew Hian to conduct the garden bird survey tomorrow at 8.30am!!!

Good night! ....or should it be Good morning?!
