Third party? Family?

"My son is in a relationship with a woman 8 years his senior!" sobbed ??? If you have read my earlier post, you would have noticed how particular I am, over TIME! No way am I going to accept such relationship EITHER!

The hardest moment all parents will face is the introduction of their children's life partners. YES, I'll give in to my children's tantrums and sometimes, unreasonable demands, provided there is no third party's involvement!

Anybody accepted by me will be FAMILY, otherwise, a THIRD PARTY! If my children should stand against me and choose to carry on an unapproved relationship that they feel superseded the FLESH and BLOOD BOND and YEARS of UPBRINGING and CHERISHED LOVE, then I'm PREPARED for the worst...... to sever the mother and children ties, heart wrenching though it may be.....

Nothing hurts more than the reality that we, the moms are beyond compare to a woman of a few months relationship?! It feels like MULTIBLE STABS in the HEART! So, WHY cling on if there is no room in their heart for you ,old woman, but their new found LOVE??? ....... To erase memories of yesteryears will be the only solution best thought of ........

Time the essence of everything........

60 seconds make a minute, 60 mins an hour, 24hrs a day. 30 days a month, 12 mths a YEAR, 10 yrs a DECADE....as if you don't know!

Well, if you ASK me, my everyday life is measured by the time. Not too long ago, my children were locked out of home for failing to meet at my shop for a pre-arranged 7 pm dinner. Still no sign of them after their repeated "should be there in 10 minutes..", I left for home at 8.20pm fuming all the way back!

"We were sourcing the dvd converter for you.." explained Ca-Ryn while Al-Wyn protested with a "Mom, why enforce the military hour when I'm supposed to be enjoying my vacation, away from work pressure and all!"

"WELL SAID.... holiday or otherwise. the world does not come to a standstill! Tick-tocking of the clock goes on! If an appoinment cannot be met, then don't fix it! As for the converter, that can be done any other time!" I bellowed at them!

I'd shoved grooming appointment for the dogs to ensure my dinner with them was not disrupted and yet....... Worse still, when they are fully aware I'm nuts over PUNCTUALITY!!

While in business, my then customers were never kept waiting for the collection of their pooches groomed!


See the clock in front of my throne? I even timed myself spending moments there!!

Never too old to learn!

Had my first piano lesson this morning! I didn't even dare ask how I fare as compared to a young beginner! Whatever, it is a good start to something I've always yearn to accomplish.

Reminiscence of my children playing songs I love, brought tears to my eyes.... those were the days when the house was filled with their presence.......

Well, the upright grand piano will sit no more like a black? elephant in the hall as this old lady, me, hope to fill the house with melodies.............for as long as my neighbours do not start throwing salted eggs at my home for NOISE POLLUTION!!!



Wish me success, not that I need it though.... egoistic, eh?

Miss her awfully!

Sent Ca-Ryn off 5.30 am en route from KL to Beijing. Her 2 months' leave as an administrator in a recruitment firm was over in a blink and won't be back till July for uncle Leslie's son's wedding!

What started her off as an intern for 6 months July 2010 has landed her a permanent job, much to my dismay! "Mom.... where else can I secure such offer whereupon YOU DECIDE when I take leave?! Just any moment you need me, I'd be back!" she promises. Looks like I have raised a daughter for her lady boss who finds her indispensable.

Since her convocation has been postponed to October due to the universities' revamp on semester breaks etc. nation-wide, I relented......

Should I feel flattered or annoyed?

Thurs: 7.46pm ..... "Leena, I've just sent Po Cai, Money and her puppies for boarding till coming Tuesday. Just wondering if you mind checking on the pups as I'm doubtful about Becca's experience?" While most may be swearing .... hey what the heck ....I ain't the operator no more and take offence,..... I feel otherwise. It gives me a sense of pride that they sought my assistance.

My only concern though is that Becca might feel I'm nosing while I'm trying my utmost best to ensure continuation of customers' support for her. She should understand and not feel churlish as TRUST is built through TIME and OBSERVATION of her DEDICATION! The least she can do is to maintain my already established clientele.

I gladly obliged and took several shots. How they have grown from my earlier post. As wrestling and horse-fighting is natural at this age, my immediate advice to Becca is to have their nails trimmed and filed to minimise clawing into the eyes resulting in ulceration.
