Parking woes!

For the past one year, I've been indulging in passions long shelved, travelling, enrolling for music/dance classes and pampering myself with beauty/massage sessions, just to name a few.

And, yes, familiarizing with the computer! It is embarrassing being computer illiterate and without a doubt, a career suicide in the corporate world! My computer literacy however, is only as much as been guided by Ca-Ryn before she left for Beijing with ahem, some marked improvement lately!

My present greatest and only obstacle is improving on my parking skills which unless is overcome, is a roadblock to my progress in search of bliss! I avoid going places and shy away from social gatherings because of parking disability!

I bet my admission astounds many as I've always been regarded a woman of substance! Weird that something easily accomplished by many, should pose a hurdle to me!

Ng, Ca-Ryn and Leslie had always been my nonsalaried chauffeurs and I was happy and contented with the arrangement!

Mastering parking with my Camry, 189" in length, or even my 187" Estima is NO EASY TASK! Once overcome, will see to me participating in more activities!! Wish me success!

Perhaps I should switch to driving a small car??

Hands up!

It has been one of those 'off' days every other day for the past fortnight! Damn it! Problem with the network connection again!

I have always count on Ca-Ryn to pave the computer world for me and am an idiot to anything computer related! When Ca-Ryn was around, she had always expressed impatience when I sought her assistance over anything trivial or so it seemed to her!!

It was the kind of impatience she will never exhibit to peers or friends when her PC guidance was needed though! Guess it is different with Mom as it is gonna be an on-going frustration!???

"Oh Mom! It is not as if you command of English is poor that you fail to comprehend. You're simply not making an effort to explore on your own!" she would cry in exasperation!

"Oh really? Would I then be a computer wizard with the knowledge of English that I possess??!"

When there were pops-up showing "There is an ip address conflict with another system on the network." or "Choose wireless network........" or " This network requires a network key......." or your mouse simply ain't responding, is merely the comprehension of English able to have the problems resolved?

Not so. My earnest attempt to tackle the problems I'm encountering proved futile! I've had the USB hub and mouse's batteries changed but still the problems persisted! Looks like I need to have the software revamped!

Until then, my life is doomed! Cannot imagine days without the COMPUTER :( :( :(

My deepest compassion!

As early as 8.25am yesterday, Shaly called. Sam, her yellow Labrador had died. Though sorry over the passing of her aged pet, Sam was 13, it was a relief that he had a peaceful death.

With Lynda, however, it was heart wrenching! Sobbing, she called from the veterinary clinic today, if she should put Babe, her pekingese-shih tzu cross, on drip to prolong his life or to put him to sleep!!!??? Babe had been in and out of clinics for treatment of his urinary infections and inability to empty it's bladder since September last year.

One of his kidneys had ceased functioning and the other about 30% defective! He had refused food and hardly mobile with his head dropping limply to a side unless supported. He had been squeezing into nooks and corners and hiding in places he would not have been as though searching for a place to rest forever.

For most of us, unless it died a natural death, guilt overwhelmed us even at the slightest thought of having it euthanized. It was a painstaking decision with Babe hanging on by a thread.

When I last checked on Lynda, Babe was already laid to rest.

Having lost Canon not too long, I know just how they feel. If the darlings had been truly loved and cherished while they were still breathing, then my friends, grief no more.......

As Steve Jobs had it, death is the only destination that we all share.....

Shake your booty!

Come on everybody! put on your dancing shoes and let's cha cha and salsa....

Whee! How I enjoyed swaying to the the rythmn of the music! It surely was exhilarating!

However, be prepared for the over the hill dejection if you fall within my age group.

Watching the younger ladies prancing in their spaghetti strapped, micro mini skirts, exposing slender legs in stilettos, you'll wish you would be able to turn clock to when you are 20!! Well, honestly, that's precisely how I felt!!

Excuse the guys for the lewd stares for even the woman in me couldn't resist smacking their bottoms, and which I did playfully, as they swayed provocatively to the beat!

Do join me at Danze Club and make boogieing your health insurance!!

Misfortunes never come singly!!!

"Runny nose?" queried Aderlyn to my choked up voice when she called last night at quarter past ten. "Oh no, you're crying! Wassat matter?" she was all concerned.

Yes! I was crying! I was in deep pain! I felt miserable!

The unbearable throbbing pain persisted even after 7 hours from the time I was gnashed by Cuddles while breaking up the fight between her and Crunchy!! Her teeth had sunk deep into my palm! I had been crying uncontrollably for some 30 minutes then, simultaneously, cleaning up the blood that kept oozing from the wound!

After my narration, Aderlyn insisted I had my punctured skin attended to by professional care!

As if I would when I have always believed in cicatrisation!

My ORDERLY PARKED, precious Camry was grazed at the bumper at New World Park while I was dining at the Starview Restaurant the night before!

Had my hands been on the culprit, I would have had this fxxxxxx IDIOT of a BITCH, MUTILATED!!!

While many may brush this off as trivial, it is a sore sight to me!

Apparently, the twitching of my right eye on the first day of the week was itself a fore warning of some unfavourable happenings! ....sigh..........

Poor anger management!

After watching a video clip entitiled 'perkerja KFC yang kurang ajar' wanted to upload for your viewing but don't know how to, sorry, uploaded at my nephew Brendan's Facebook, in addition to his already long list of comments from his peers, I spiced up with my comment as follows:

"Brendan, had ee been there, ee would have punched him in the nose, elbow aimed hit his jaw and kicked him hard in the groin! Then, grabbed him by the hair and smashed his face flat against the wall! THEN, ee's fees spent on the Weng Chun classes would worth every sen! hehehehehe....."

Heroic, yeah? Don't play, play, ar.....best in Penang and in Malaysia!....and..... my Weng Chun lessons AIN'T FOR NOTHING!!!!!

Jokes aside, unless we were there to witness the whole scenario, I would rather reserve judgement.

While most opine that customers are always right and that courtesy and tolerance must be observed by service providers no matter what the situation, I find it, at times, hard to adhere to the principle myself! There were occasions, even as a bystander, I couldn't resist the urge to tick off petulant customers who bellowed and ignited the tempers of business providers by their unreasonable demands!

Business providers are no saints, they are human too! But of course resorting to violence as a means to achieve an end is counterproductive!

Not all bosses hold fast to the maxim that the customer is always right and penalize employees REGARDLESS of situation though. I'm glad to have served such understanding bosses myself, who had respected my decisions and stood by me allowing me a sense of confidence in rendering my utmost dedication to my work!!

My interpretation without malice!

Buletin Mutiara January 2012 issue 1/01

I weighed the author's footnote comments and drew these conclusions.

If the author's conscience is clear, he should not have belittled himself and went overboard with the no position and no money thus non-qualification of friendship matter!

His justification resulted in the implication that our CM sieves through friendship's qualification by only determining the RICH, FAMOUS and INFLUENTIAL as friends and the nobodies unfit!

The overly humble comments sounds as if the writer is crying to be NOTICED!?

Perhaps, he genuinely meant neither? What say you?

Spirits! Ghosts! Are they for REAL?

I was born a Buddhist, accepted Christ, not baptized, during my secondary student days and couple of years thereafter till now ....???....

As a mark of respect, I do pray to my husband's deceased parents and ancestors once daily though.

I gather that only the weak willed and the troubled seek solace in a religion. By this statement, I am aware I have offended many readers of this blog. Here, I offer my sincere apologies!

Since all religions practice divine teachings, they cannot be no good, right? And, if by embracing a religion, you are able to achieve a sound mental health, go for it!

I do believe in the existence of a supernatural power though, and for easier comprehension, will term it simply as God! For as long as I practice good faith and do no evil, I believe MY God will watch over me.

The Star Thurs 02/02/12

Of late, through newspapers, television and Internet, spirits, ghosts and god related news kept flashing before my eyes as though some supernatural power is attempting to reach for me!

Sometime last week, out of the blue, an ex-client requested me via an SMS to check out a blog whereupon a teenager supposedly shared an almighty pastor's ability which he witnessed with his own eyes and the mention of Jesus Christ!

Try as I would, I was not able to piece together what he was to impart!!!!! I found myself cursing! What the hell is he BABBLING ABOUT!!!

GRACIOUS! Surely GOD could not have sent this boy with such atrocious broken English to speak to me!? If indeed HE did, I daresay it is a FAILED MISSION!

It is not in my nature to ridicule. In fact, I feel sorry for the poor kid. I guess it must be the fact that my client had requested that I forward the SMS to friends and all, that irked me, resulting in the uncalled for sarcasm!

Would you believe if I disclose that this post had been re-typed the fourth time before it was successfully posted? Somehow, on three occassions prior to posting, the post disappeared and I was not able to retrieve them!

Creepy?

Spirits! Ghosts! Are they for REAL?

Shot from my bathroom upstairs....the banana tree on the extreme left corner!

Leslie's homegrown bananas are exceptionally big, seedless and sweet. Now, I'm contemplating whether to discard the young shoot his maid gave me two months ago.

Excerpted from blogs I stumbled upon soon after my previous post.......

Feng Shui News - Feng Shui Solutions - Trees and Plants : One type of plant which tends to attract ghosts (don't ask me why!) is the banana tree. They often seem to be on properties of clients who complaint of ghosts!

Darker Side Feng Shui: Not all ghosts are former human beings either. Your BELOVED CAT that you buried in your backyard may have returned.

And, in my case, my beloved dog! Ha ha......
